Each week a different lab member selects a paper or preprint for us all to discuss the following week, serving as host for the journal club. The host prepares a short introductory presentation of 5 slides or less, explaining why they chose the paper, and a summary of the basic background needed to understand it. Starting with Figure 1, each main figure in the paper is then explained by a different lab member, with questions and discussion as we go along. We conclude by summarizing the main strength and main weakness of the work.
